Type-X Enclosure

How big of an enclosure should I have for my 12" Type X?? I'm looking for maximum SPL and hoping to be in the 140db range with this one sub and about 1400rms.

Oops..........I meant to say maximum SQL. This will be in the back of a 06 durango so I've got plenty space...........

too bad the type X is not an spl subwoofer. If you want somewhat good sounding loudness get the type r. my $0.02

I know a lot of people are against putting the Type-x in a ported box but my friend has his in a 2.0cu.ft. @ 32 hz and it sounds REAL good.

I saw a box on ebay for sale that was 2 cubes tuned @32hz with a double baffle and carpeted the same color as my interior. Maybe it's worth it?.....

Dude.... the Type X is NOT an SPL sub. You need to do a little research.

I know it's NOT an SPL sub. That's why I'm not looking to get anymore than 140db's. I don't think that's out of reason. With 1400 rms goin to it, I figure it should still get loud.
