Pick a different amplifier. check out JBL, mtx, profile, us acoustics. U can find something nice for not too much money that would put out sufficient power but also better than kenwood as well.

Those boxes are horrible. The first one is just crap all together, and the second one is tuned to 45hz and will cost u quite a bit after shipping is done. I could just build you a custom ported enclosure for around the same price or better, and it will be 20x better than any pre-fab junk ud buy over ebay.

for the love of god dont get a bandpass box. also that other ported box is tuned to like 45hz isnt that kinda high for type R's? ive always heard to get them around 30hz

If you do not want to make a box you are probably better off buying a sealed prefab rather than a ported prefab. Also there are folks on here that will make you a box for a good price but I do not know if it will have that finished look.

These are alright sealed boxes for the money, there are better out there but they cost upwards of around $200+. These use MDF that is a little thin but with those subs you would probably be alright, you can always add some support to the panels inside with some MDF and wood glue.

not nearly that much //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Bones33 boss is junk. profile is much better and is about as cheap as ull get while still getting good qaulity and rated power. For the box like i said i build enclosures or there are others who do the same and it will be the best bet and cheapest for a properly built ported enclosure. u could go to your local audio shop but it will cost u much more than one of us could do one for. good luck.

I use to have the Alpine type R's Sealed, cause they sounded better to me, and I was running them off of the Alpine MRD-501. One for each sub. I found out though those subs truly want more then 300 rms. They like to see around 400-475. They are great subs.

I would go with that Profile since it looks like your sticking to cheaper amps. Then have it go around 400watts and 2ohm load. Then don't forget to wire your speakers in a 2ohm load.
