type R's will KILLLL the lows too in the right box, I built a box for my buddies buick, 5.5 cf tuned to 30 hz. Hes running a SPL 5500D on a pair at 1 ohm. Probably around ~2800 rms on a GOOD day. but still, it will kill the lows and sound decent doing it.

My note dropped from 47 hz to 43 hz and the sub seems to be more efficient.
