Type R vs. L7 *SPL*

I can vouch for that. I just heard a guys 2 L7 15's from this forum. My 1 Type R 15 go quite a bit lower and louder My box is tuned to 30 hz his was at 34 . His his higher bass was louder, but he had 2 and a higher tune.

now you know why yours was lower, but without the power, don't see how your one 15" was louder, unless he had no power.

i think im gonna go ahead and go with the type r's, but another question the 05 models are rated at 500watts rms, but how much can they really handle? cause ive seen people use way more than 500watts

Im gonna go out on a limb and say for lowwww street spl Type-r might have it but for burping at higher notes and what not L7's take the cake.

I have PG Titanium 600.2 pushing 600 to the sub. He had a jbl 1200.1, 600 a piece. His was in the trunk of a lincoln. Mine in the trunk of a 2 dooor sentra.

They are 750 rms. They can take 1000+ but I wouldnt suggest doing it for a long period of time. I am about to hook mine up to a viper 2500d @ 4 ohms. We will see how long it will take 1500 watts.
