Type R vs. L7 *SPL*

The SX isnt a bad woofer, I am just getting a little older and would like a more musical subwoofer such as the R. The SX hit hard, but only on a certain freq. range. The R hits hard during all of the notes IMO

wow sx, l7 and the type r are in different budgets, different uses, and dont even come in the same sizes, nor cone area, or wattage rattings, we might as well be comparing W7's and pyle.

SX - 12,15,18 1000watts

L7 - 10,12,15 600-750

R - 10,12,15 500+

I dont understand your statement, except you wattage statement. I can see that up to a point, but they are within a decent range except the SX

Oh yeah, its been a while since I have had an L7, only proves my point further

I'd say it would be a fairly close battle, IMO.

Both subs could definitely take more power though, in the proper box.

i meant as far as cone area with the L7's.

the 10=12, 12=15, and so on, becuase they're sqaure instead of round.

and the SX comes in an 18, where the R doesn't.

and definately price differnces between them.
