Type R Speakers VS Type X Speakers

what about the MB quart Q series? Im really looking for some high quality ($$$) sound. I think i changed my mind and am not going to go with a sub. So I want some really nice spekaers up front...and maybe some 6x9's that have pretty nice bass.

wel that little power capability is fine for me....that means less i have to pay for an amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif . well it looks like iw ont be getting those pioneer 6x9's, since me and my girlfriend broke up today. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif . But i heard if i get a nice set like the Type X's then stock 6x9's are fine. So I will probably go with the Type X's...what amp should I go for with these? I believe they are 60 watts rms....so something that is 60x2 ar 4 ohms....because they will be running at 4 ohms right?

alright...they are 60 watts RMS....so why would I want to send them 100 watts? Wouldn't I want to send them 60 watts....the last thing I want to do is blow a $280 set of speakers. Ill have to check out that amp. That amp cant be that great for under $100 though, can it? I want an amp with good SQ...since i wont be running any 6x9's probably. Maybe I'll stick some 6.5's back there for some added bass?????? Can you buy jus the 6.5 Type X without the tweeter for the back???? I cant imagine running 2 component sets....4 tweeters would blow me away. Plus i dont plan on spending that much money. Also these things have huge magnets....what are the chances of this fitting in my door?

more power is never bad..

watch your gains, and yo uwill be fine..

by having that extra power on hand (known as headroom) you will likely actually get better Sq...

more available from teh amp for those peaks in teh music...

just watch your gains.. (plus, with your gains set lower, your THD will bel ower..

essentially, most amps sound the same, and the speakers will ALWAYS be teh weak link in a decent system.

fitting them in your doors? good luck...

hope you like fibreglass...

the Type R's fit in like 3 stock locations, lol and the X's arent much bbetter...

you will probably have to make a mounting ring, and in all likelyhood some pods, opr kicks...

what size Type X's are you getting? or Type R's? Because I saw a wooden mount for the 5 1/4 comps. It was in an installation bay at an audio place. It fits 5x7 and 6x8 stock locations. It has a little circle for the tweeter, and a big circle for the 5 1/4 speaker. He also said that 6 1/2 comp's could fit in a 5x7 or 6x8 place a little less comfortably, but they would fit. But that's just one type of stock location. What size are yours?

im not worried about getting an adapter getting this speaker to fit in that way. I already know how to get it in that way. I plan on going with the 5.25 probably...just so it has better chances of fitting. I am worried about depth. I will not go with kick pods or any fiberglassing or anything. I just want them to fit right int he door. Maybe I should look into a different speaker? ill try to find out from some other people what the maximum mounting depth for my car would be. Any suggestions anybody can think of???

how are the speakers worth it if i cant even fit them in my doors? haha. I belive somebody I know has fit a 6.5 up front of his grand am with a mounting depth of 2 1/4 and it fit. You think the type X is bigger then that?
