yeah alpine has kinda gone down hill with the quality of their products i think. maybe it's just one of those roller coaster things. still a good brand and good speaker, but also could do better at the same time. all personal preferance.

they make good amps an decent subs an great head units. the x's are good sq subs an the r's are a decent budget spl sub. there head units are great quality though forsure. an there amps produce rated numbers at 12 volts so cant ask for much more there. i just dont think there line of speakers is up to par with there other products.

this is true, great headunits, especially for amped systems. they can be kinda plain though(as far as graphics and stuff), but good quality. however for the amps i've heard people say the PDX amps dont put out like they would like, but they are also meant more to fit in tight places.

i had the PDX-1.1000 an it produced rated numbers. also my friends alpine mrd m1005 produces rated numbers.

i had a friend say he heard a whole alpine system and they turned it up pretty high and it really wasnt that loud, however something couldve been done wrong in the set up also. but also one persons opinion of loud maybe different from someone elses.

i no a dude who has an all alpine set up. 2 x's on 2 pdx 1.1000's box is 2.2 cuft per sub at 32hz. has 3 pairs of the Alpine SPX-17PRO's an speakers arent the greatest but the subs bump really good!

Quit saying they aren't good speakers when it's all personal preference. It is known that the Pro's are one of the best bang for your buck speakers.
