What i dont understand is why everyone thinks that the Type R's are bad sealed woofers? Now i havent heard an 05 but Alpineintaller has an 1 12" 04 Type R sealed and it gets pretty loud. are the 04's and 05's that different as in what enclosures that they like?

The '05 is a totally different sub. It's not like they just did a few cosmetic changes and called it a day. It's a totally different beast.
