would this amp be ok with a single 12" idq? DTR1.900D - Soundstream Monoblock 900 Watt Class-D Series Amplifier

Id go with JBL, JL, Clarion APX, or old school amps if your goal is SQ with decent output.

This PG Xenon would be awesome for that sub. And multitudes better than the new Soundstream.

Yup and does the power at 4 ohms , $10 cheaper and includes shipping the SS amp doesnt, and will also sound way better.

Yeah that phoenix gold amp does look nice..the price is very tempting too.. so that would not underpower the sub at all right?

IDQ's are amazing sounding subs with very nice output as well. I have been installing Image Dynamics for years and would say one of the best SQ subs you can get.

get this amp and run it at 2ohm, it is prob one of the best sounding amps i have ever owned true class a/b mono amp over 2 feet long, i paid a pretty penny for it back in the day.

fi q, get the cooling option so it can handle all the power at 1ohm extra spiders and high qts if ur going sealed

Irrelevant. The Z7000 is a Class D, the PG is a class A/B. The PG will sound better regardless of the THD. The Cadence THD is also at the rated 50@4 ohms as you draw more power the THD rating skyrockets.

um z7000 is a/b all day and the pg is class d what r u smoking, do u have any idea what ur talking about and not all amps are rated at 4 ohm, cadence rates theirs at full tilt. and what the hell kind of class d amp is 25 inches long and puts out only 1500rms obv is a/b, look at the internals.

You should spend some time reading at DIYMA. Those numbers can easily be fudged with testing.

but down to the facts, all numbers could be fudged easily, im taking cadences numbers instead of stingers etc, and where still talking a class d amp 2 a class a/b, a/b wins all day z7000 not even close.
