You can be done arguing all you want but youve proven you have no idea what your talking about when it comes to PG. The PG amps you stated were superior have the same exact output section as the PG Xenon amp and then you change your argument and try to divert to ZED. If you read all the issues with whats going on with ZED amps lately Id stay far away from ZED.

ummm no, what problems with zed amps. and its not the same output and the xenon amps are built over seas, original pg was built here in us. second off u thought the xenon amp was a/b and im not saying its a bad amp but not the best sq amp out their, he wants an a/b amp

ok im sure, not the same output section and if u know anything about amps, layout can be the same etc, paarts can change etc, and their is more then output section that makes the amp. ugggh

When it comes to inferior SQ that your claiming the Xenon has your point is invalid as the amps you stated as superior all have the same parts. They are 100% identical in the output section. Every single piece is the exact same.

DIYMA.com - View Single Post - How do the old Phoenix Gold ZPA and ZX series compare to todays offerings?

xenon's are really the "flagship" as far as engineering goes. but they do have a pesky problem of parts coming off the board and cold solder issues. and most people think they are hideous. (where as i dont know anyone that doesnt think a zpa is sexy as hell)

um no not the same output

and ur quoting a diyma freshman

and 2 further prove this man has no idea what he is saying

-zpas draw a TON of current (not very efficient amps, even as far as a/b amps go)

a/b same output as xenon class d ok sure

Well i think im sticking with the idq.So hows this look for a final setup?

the 12" IDQ 12v3 2 ohm subwoofer

and the phoenix gold xenon @600rms running 2ohms?

12" sealed box
if the amp you are getting is 600rms at 2 ohms and you want to wire one sub to 2 ohms you would n eed to get the IDQ12v3d4 and wire the coils in parallel. you'd also want a one cubic foot box going sealed. if your lookin for all kinds of Great INfo on ID go to the id forum at http://www.imagedynamicsusa.com/forum/index.php
