Trunk build

Mine. 90% sealed off. All of the back deck covered in deadener anda bunch of expanding foam between the metal and the plastic back deck cover. You cant see it but that back deck is now chemically bonded to the metal. So no air escaping that wall.

see... All that work just to get decent output.

OP you dont wanna go through all this cr@p do you?

Hatchback, all you need is a box. No need to wall off anything. Maybe some foam here and there to decouple any possible rattle but thats all you need vs layers of deadener, cans of spray foam. A VERY tight and customized box. Depending on your car choice, possible metal cutting as well.

A rear facing sub box in the trunk is loud and sloppy. A front facing without sealing is still loud but quieter but MUCH MUCH better sq. A front sealed is absolutely night and day between anything else. Louder, cleaner, even less harmonics. Some Trunks are easier than others though. Mine is shaped like an oval so its a **** to make anything fit right. i tried fiberglassing a wall but that ended in disaster, not even really sure why either 0_o

Start by removing the back seat and foam foam foam even foam inside the pillars in the rear and the rocker panel area in the floor seal everything and go overboard

Thats in a trunk. In a hatchback you dont get any of those issues. Put a proper system in a hatch with sub up port back or sub back port back and it'll be just as good as yours accuracy wise but overall louder.

You can make basshead life easier or you can make it a pain in the @ss with your vehicle choice for bass. Toyota sedans are a b*tch to get loud in as well. I'd avoid them at all costs.
