What answer are you expecting. You can put any sub in any tuning.

25-29hz sound quality

30-36 hz sound quality loudness

37-45 hz spl

sound quality fades away somewhat as you tune higher, but its louder.

lemon can u build a sub box?

if u have a jl 10 or 12 3v3, i promise if u build a ported box, it will sound louder than that stealth box.

my friend built his box just as jl has listed on their website, it gives every exact measurement, and it sounds really good. he has it in the trunk of a 2 door sports car. its pretty crazy that its a little 10" off 400ish watts.

I want to test my amplifier first, i mean a quarter on the back seat will do flips an inch off the seat at 40/50 volume. Would better mids and highs effect the bass? And my entire problem is trying to keep a clean install.

older sony xplod ES models sound great, ugly as hell but sounded great and took 3x rms for a while before it died.

Then they made them cheaper i guess. I guess i should be satisfied with my sub, it's not the loudest but i could take the seat out and put some w7's in and no many would come near me but that would not look good, and would be overpowered, sound quality is what i am going to aim for, almost competition worthy if i can manage it. Any tips for this are appreciated.

It's been said a thousand times before and will be said a thousand times again and again and again.... Sound is subjective so to say that ANY sub sounds better then another can NEVER be proven. That said, I PREFER TREO's SSi line. I look at them as JL's worst nightmare.

As it's been stated, the stealth box is just that, ment for stealth and to fill in the bottom end. You're going to have to figure out what's more important, the SPL/SQ or the room available. I'm not to familiar w/how the Fords are set up, but look for ways you can cheaply mod things. Example, I drive a 2000 GMC Sierra Ext cab, I was able to raise the rear bench seat up 2" to get the extra room I needed to fit the subs I have in a box of worth.
