tips on getting into hunting

Phesant hunting is a lot of fun, and pretty good to eat too. We shoot squirls, and rabbits, but don't really eat them. We normally just take them to my friends dad, and he'll skin anything and eat it.

If you go and ask a farmer with some land they will let you do it sometimes. Just let them know you will clean up after yourself, and respect their land/stuff.

You could probably put an ad on your craigslist for a hunting buddy?

ya phesant is one of my favorite things to hunt. we go to south dakota twice every year its really fun. there are sooo many birds out there.

come to wyoming. we can go set bear traps, kill elk, deer, sage grouse,coyotes etc. we have it all

Maybe you can help me understand? What reason do you have for hunting if you don't eat the meat. Is this some type of tribal ritual or pagan past time. What fulfillment is granted by running after birds with a weapon, trying to kill them. Wouldn't you much rather enjoy them living?

Because it is fun to get out and shoot stuff ? Like I said it doesn't get wasted. If we want to go out and shoot stuff for fun we usually shoot snipe crows, and little birds in all honestly.

1 buy weapon

2 kill anything moving

3 eat

but i dont see the point in killing little birds like finches etc or cats or raccoons and shit.. id say only kill game animals really.. i mean anyone can kill a finch.. and blackbird..

so why not just mow down the quail/dove/duck/ other small bird game or rabbits
