tips on getting into hunting

x2. They should have all seasons, bag limits, and restrictions on the web site. Should also have the state's Wildlife Management Areas listed and their restrictions.

I have never got into small game hunting. Just wild turkey and white-tailed deer.

But as someone suggested...Look into public land (great hunting can be had), go to a local gun club or shooting range and get some practice in, read up articles on the internet regarding your desired game, etc. Hunting forums can be a HUGE help also.

I'd recommend a pump 12-gauge for the game you listed. A decent one can be had for a little over $300. If you want to hunt duck, you need one capable of shooting at least 3" shells.

Trust me when I say this..You will not regret getting started on this hobby.. Tons of memories to be made.
your a little bi tch so stfu....

I wish a deer would run in front of my marquis. Write me a check insurance company.
Me too. And then come through the windshield and in its struggle to get away, it furiously slashes your face with its hooves. It manages to escape with mediocre injuries, while you have suffered potentially dangerous internal damage from the crash. You call the ambulance, and when they arrive, the EMT happens to be a member of this forum. You tell him your story, and he laughs furiously and tells you that deer fucking owned you. You are bleeding profusely from the hoove slashes to your face and in great pain. You get rushed to the hospital and remain their for a few days.

In the meanwhile, you didn't have full coverage Geico car insurance. Your car is totaled, and you are out thousands on hospital bills.

Good luck.

i have a 12 guage benelli nova pump and i love it. its extremely durable and very reliable. i ahve had it a couple of years with 0 problems. its also a plastic like material so if you get it wet it doesnt ruin it like it would a wood stock gun. just a reccomendation for a great gun. it can be had for around 300. and look for clubs and organizations around your area so that you can hook up with people who know what they are doing and maybe have land:D
Great recommendation right there. I personally own a Mossberg 835, but know of several with the Novas.

i like your responce. But your still a complete moron.

Hunting is so stupid. We as a human population switched to a farming and herding culture for a specific reason. It was a more efficient use of time. Hunting is as outdated and archaic as the ice age.

Today, it's merely a sign of savagery, ignorance, and...red necks.

you my friend....

are a ***

for thinking that

no your a *** for saying this
"Today, it's merely a sign of savagery, ignorance, and...red necks."

and does everyone have to enjoy and pursue everything that you like to do?
I didn't say they do, but I grew up in the south and I see people who like to hunt everyday. They are ignorant, 'savages', and rednecks. My perception is my reality, thanks to people like Deerhunt.

My body language told you I was an ignorant, savage redneck?
Sweet!
Indeed.

On a different note, my business writing teacher today starting talking about the body language of fellow group members when working on a project (such as them slouching in their chairs, texting, not paying attention). I laughed to myself. Then I realized no one else knew why I was laughing.

Head to walmart and go to the sporting goods counter, they may have some state issued magazines that are free that provide you with all sorts of information when it comes to public land and hunting/fishing and what kind of species you should find on those parts of land.
