tips on getting into hunting

well i always wanted to hunt but i could never find any info on hunting around my region(philly) since i live in the city. anybody know any good websites for information about hunting, laws, etc and any rifle recommendation for a starter?

well thats the best way..

usually good public land is hard to come by and is normally not nearly as good as private.

small game. something like a rabbit, duck, etc. the closest thing i come to hunting is shooting pigeons outside my house and killing rats in my friends house with a bb gun.

well then i would suggest figuring out what you want to hunt. so if its waterfowl and varmit i would get a 12 guage shotgun. go out to a gun club and shoot some skeet to get used to the gun. then i would try and find some public land with wetland on it for the waterfowl and some reg. public land for varmit.

I won't kill a bug so i say find a new hobby. Who in the right mind gets off by killing inicent animals for there own sick pleasure.

i hunt because i use the meat to EAT. and its an enjoyable hobby.

this isnt the iceage. We have things called supermarkets. They are a reliable and safe place to find food. Matter of fact i bought some beef today. Chips too. .

its the same thing. the cows dont just magically die. they get slaughtered. im just cutting out the middle man. and i bet i do it alot more humaine then they do.

its sick to think about but i agree. But their bred to be killed and eaten.

I just dont like killing things. I put myself in there position. Rather it be a ant or mouse. Afraid of death myself? idk....

If i find a bug i take it outside . I just cant find it in myself to kill anything unless it harming me or my family.
