I am doing 2 12" l7's in the package tray of my 87 towncar with the port blowing though the rear arm rest. With a built in 7 cu/ft box with a 8" round port. how long will my port have to be? for tuning in the low 30's?

45" wide

11" heght

20" deep

with inturnal bracing and in dents for my 6x9s it sould be around 7 cu/ft

I want SQ over SPL

I have the l7's I just dont want them to sound sh!ttyer than they all ready do.

I want a plexy glass window in the Back so I can see the magnets from the trunk, WHAT IS A GOOD THICKNESS OF PLEXY? 10" x 20"

what would be the best size round port I was going to use 8" but I can do two smaller ports. what will give me the best sound??????????????????????/

you shou;d change youe sub selection if you want sq
Ok I dont want SQ because I love my L7's but I am not concrened with making them louder than they are . I just want to know what size round port I should use for nice low bass

Maybe hes black? You know ******s love the square subs.
check his sig, no way! not rollin in a 4X4 caddy, no with factory rims anyway.

Black people dig the STS, but they all say it needs big wheels, I will get some 24" next year

soooooooooooo if I have a 7 cu/ft box and I want to hit the lows. how big of a round port should I use? or should I use 2 smaller ports, or I can make a 8"x9" rectangle port. what would be best????

subs up, port forward though the arm rest.

7cf for two twelves is a big box hehe your best bet would be subs back port forward or do a 6th order bandpass 'ported firing onto a common chamber that exits though the middle ARM rest'

Use a 12" long round port. That tunes you to ~31.5-32hz
haha, assuming your implying hes using the 8 inch he asked about earlier? you forgot to mention what size //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif hes asked 2 different options 8 inch or 2 smaller ones...

from ur wording here i wouldnt consider this SQ.. i assume u just want the bass to sound better.. have more of a impact... i would suggest around 5-5.5 cubes tuned to around 34hz and u would need to make some sort of manifold to direct the all the sound to come through a shoot in the rear deck.. with it loading off the rear windshield it will bring the overall tuning down .. and u should get a well loaded sounding bass
