Transmission line enclosures are not always going to use the Fs of the driver and the Sd of the driver for line length and line area. I wouldn't recommend taking that route as you will most likely end up with an efficient enclosure that is huge. You could easily get the same response and output with a ported enclosure that would be much smaller.

i know this. im just interested in the works behind these boxes so for fun im making a couple. thanks though.

Well you might as well make one correctly. Read the PDF files from http://www.quarter-wave.com

The firs three files one there are very informative and can teach you a lot if you will let it and actually think about it. Also, you shouldn't skip over the math if you really want to know what's going on.

well i would need to build my baffle out like 2inches to do that. i wanted to build the enclosure i calculated and then another using what i learned from the website indepth to see what happens. however, my depth has shut me down..

I'm going to be building a transmission line soon for my room and it's only slightly larger than my current enclosure which is 2.2 cubes tuned to 32hz. This is for a 12" sub.

Not having a ton of room isn't going to keep you from building some t-lines. You also don't usually tune to the resonant frequency of the sub.
