metal net=possible port noise?

ima be building a new box soon, with a slot port.

the thing is i wanna cover the port with this metal net(well a chunk of it anyways)

but im not sure if that would generate problems due to the less space for the air to go trough at the place where the net would be

id try and move it if it doesnt work but the thing is the way i see it, it has to be mounted while constructing meaning that if it turns out as a problem i have to tear the enclosure appart...not an option im too keen on, so if anyone has done smthg similar to this let me know what to expect

I would use some grill cloth.

i was thinking grill cloth too..id cover it, purely for aesthetic reasons, the subs are white and id either paint this white or polish it..i think it might look good, i hate seeing bare mdf in slot ports

you're blocking what looks to be over half the port. it would be as if you took a piece of MDF and covered the bottom half of the port. not a good idea.

thnx guys, giving up on the idea, too much of a hassle putting the holes into the equasium? anyways, ill just paint it black then or leave it as it is, its intended to play not look good anyways
