Well heres pics of one hdc getting ready for recones.

Coils, Cone, Surround, Tinsel leads were all in good shape and still read 1.9ohms ea.

Just gotta work on the spiders and overexcursion. LOL

I havent been reading it all, but were those the extra stiff spiders?

I think that was an option for them when i ordered mine, i didnt get them though

Yes it is the stiffer set. There's a diff. between the aluminum spider packs and the copper.

There's no gap in between spiders with the american aluminum recones.

So what are you trying now so it doesnt happen again?

It would be hard to find something that will hold up to what rob is doing. Burps would be fine its the bass race thats killen the suspension on em.
