hey ive owned both the n1 and the n2...so i was wonderin if the z1 is the same exact thing? also if u can ...post pics of the unit at nite i wann see the colors of the buttons

I haven't really tested the n1 or n2 but from playing around with it at different stores, I can say that the interface is very different. You might recognize a couple things here and there from the n1 or n2 on the z1 like the vehicle dynamics but overall, the z1 is a superior in every aspectf from any navigation they have released in the past here in the US.

The buttons light up a nice bold blue at night and day.

Right. I was hoping tghere would be something available in aftermarket? Something from XM itself? This thing is $200! No way to get it cheaper?

159.99 seems to be the lowest...a buddy of mine uses the nav-traffic on his N-2...it is really sweet, ALMOST worth $200
