w7>type x PERIOD. As for the type x vs. r, that'll be opinion. Someone on hear was telling me his type r sounds better than any type x... to me that's hard to believe. The sq on my buddys type x is excellent. However two type rs will get WAY louder than a type x.... why would you send a type x 2k daily?

We have had VERY good luck with the type-r on my team

My 10" type-r in my regular cab, off two eD nine.1's=148.9 dB's

Buddies 15" type-r in a 4 door blazer off an orion 2500d=148.5

Pair of type-r 12's in a first gen 2 door blazer off a 2500d=149.3

All scores are in the kick, MECA style, on the termlab.

yeah i know my buddy and i did a 152.7 with 4 memphis amps and my 2 12"s in a 97 explorer

i never said daily, i mean just for SPL numbers...holla

ive came down to my decision to what i want in my truck..its going under the back seat..but they can only do 2 12's sealed ...all ive heard is type r ported blahhblahh...

its either 2 12 jl w3v2's

to tell u guys the truth....i was at a sound off this past sunday .and let me tell u.......a few cars with alpine type r 12's pull up and each of them hit good numbers....the lowest was 147.2db's ..and that was in a scion xb

the highest score was 150.8db's and that was in a walled off honda accord with 4 type r 12's and 2 memphis mojo amps

From what I hear, you dont have enough power for 2 of either... so why not just port one?
