im 100% positive pioneer's SPL subs are on the same scale as the Type-R's.
maybe u should use them before you post something useless like that.

get the Type R's. they'll handle 500 watts - 1000 watts each all day. So no matter what you have powering them.. you won't have anything to worry about..

I've heard both Type R's and the Pioneer 3000SPL's and I would say the Type R's get louder AND sound better while doing it.

If YOU do get the Type R's.. I'd port them, not only do they preform better ported, but sound better.

And..

As for your amp. how much would like to spend?

I would really like to get my hands on some Type R's so i can optimize both woofers and really put it to the test. They seem quite similar in terms of output, but Im not going to compare them in SQ. 2000SPL's start to sound like poo when theyre very loud.
