the loudest music playing vehicle is either tommy's truck or Bob perillo's van. i have seen bob start bass race with a 140 and finish up with a 161.x. this means he was actually louder than the finishing score, my guess would be in the 165 range. That is on music, not a burp. his 180,000 watts is using 18 SS10000 amps.

my car gets pretty loud, 91 civic, 2 custom built 18's in a wall with a AB 500.1 on each. burped a 155.7, can play music at a 153, not too bad

mine wasnt a daily driven van but i sit in steve cooks van before he changed subs

he had 8 RE MT 18's with about 24k a piece bass raced a 166

yea i said it right bass race we talked him into playing music and that was the most painful thing ive ever endured

180,000!!!! Is that right, it doesn't even seem possible? I am not doubting you, but I just have never heard of that much power, lol

Renots Cutlass got louder. He swapped out the MTX subs and dropped in the T3 TSNS subs and his number jumped like 4 or 5 db's. Wish I could remember what he was hitting, it was in the lower 160's, 162 I think.

And the loudest I've seen Bob's van Bass Race at was 161 db's at a 3X show. lol, he wouldn't even make his run unless they could get him a replacement windshield first. He Bass raced so loud the ceil panels were dropping dust all over everyone....I have vids of that one too, oh yeah, and a guy actually sat inside when he did this.

ive hurd and seen allot of loud system's.. ho problems, the pioneer rides, ect, many 160+ db system's..

but the loudest i have ever sat in, and took part in building the system was 155.5

i worked there in 94, havent even been up there since about 95 or 96. i think howie still works there. he was a cool guy. helped me out a good bit.

the last time i talked to doug he was glassing 2 8'' sub's and 4 comp's into the door's of some van.. so maybe they still have it.. im not sure...

hmm, doug have dark hair? little guy? i think i remember him. im thinking he was the head installer on the van originally.

I believe he had the record last season, but not sure about this season yet. Unless your thinking of Scott Owens World record of 182.2 db's, thats in an Extreme class vehicle, so you can't even compare that to Bob's van. Hell, Alan Dante beat Scott Owens at last years World Finals and he was only running one sub and 4 amps. Every class has their own World Record, so ya gotta be specific.

i understand what ya sayin there. i just know if i had that kinda power i would want nothing less then record db period. his is still sick either way lol. that would kill ya lol.
