the loudest system you've ever heard..

I have a question for you guys...

Ok so I have my first real sub setup and all, 15" TC-3000 on a Sundown amp, sealed. My totally wild guess is that it does maybe 135-137db from where I am sitting.

Anyway, the 96 camry this is in is uber-deadened, 120ft of raamat, 30lb of butyl/asphalt cement, and lots of foam. Outside the car with the system cranked on bass heavy songs, it is barely loud at all - when I shut the door it is like the **** thing is soundproof, pretty incredible really how much it blocks. I think a car next to me with the windows up might just feel a little bass, but definitely not loud. So when I roll my windows down or open the door, the shit rattles houses. I tested it with my own house, ran inside with car in driveway and the doors and window frames were shaking with windows down - windows up I couldn't hear or feel a thing.

When I hear about super loud drivebys, do these people have their windows down? Or does all the deadening just make a huge difference? I literally cannot imagine how loud the systems must be to be thunderous from a distance with windows up unless a non-deadened car is much louder on the outside. I can definitely see drivebys being crazy if they have windows down though.

Just thought I would throw that question in here... Thanks dudes.

Loudest daily type install I've ever heard has to by this truck we built for a customer.

On the TermLab Sensor it recorded a 158db on a 30Hz note. It would shake the inside of the cab apart, literally.

Here are a few pictures.

My Uncle's Land Cruiser in the Dominican Republic which consisted of:

2 15" kicker L7s in a band pass box

4 10" EVs on the tailgate

6 12" EVs 3 on each side of bandpass box

2 High Amperage alternator

6 batteries

2 BD 1500 @ 2 ohms

6 Zeus 600 Amps (old School)

20 Farad Cap

This was the craziest loudest stereo that I've ever hear. It was literally a club on wheels! IT WAS LOUD LOUD LOOOOUUD!!!

Because there was so much stuff inside the truck, it was only able to sit 2 people. no back seats. It is not illegal to have a system that loud in the Dominican Republic on the contrary people love it even the law enforcement.

bump,

probably this S10 xtreme that drove by my work one day, haven't seen it since.

I'm not sure what it had but probably 2000 RMS pushing 4 subs.

the door was open at my work, we could hear him then 10 seconds later we see this s10 xtreme pull into the parking lot. It wasn't overly loud, because it just echo'ed in the store.

the system I'm working on now is a zx2500 and 4 - 10' subs. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

To best of my memory would be JPs person vehicle. JP being Mr. John Henry himself the founder and owner of Treo. It had 4 18" Treo SSXs on 4 Us Amps 2000s. The roof was reinforced with 3/4" MDF and it was still flexing the roof a good 4".

My buddy Bob Perillo. And just as a note, Bob's van is the loudest daily driven vehicle in the world and there is only one other SS type vehicle that is louder, but not by much.
