Well, how about this, I exploit the rules because I have a regular cab truck.
If you look at nearly any DAILY box in a regular cab truck (including my daily box), it most likely goes past the b-pillar on some part of the box. That's where the "no b-pillar" rule comes in to effect. They don't want to not allow a person to compete in ANY organization just because they have a regular cab truck.
See what I'm getting at?
I just use that rule to my advantage and build a big honkin' box that barely fits in to my truck. And until they make a rule against it, i'll continue to do it.
I *can* drive my truck daily with that box in if it comes down to it, it is just uncomfortable and I do look a tad ridiculous driving it like that. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif And I do use that box for more than just competition, I'll also throw it in for any car shows or get togethers that I may attend as well. And actually, with the way my single 10" SPL box is, the driver's seat is all the way back, making it perfectly comfortable for daily driving.
And FYI, my truck isn't that loud anyways. I'd get my *** handed to me in db drag or pretty much any other organization that meters sealed up, on the dash. No matter how big my box is, or what # it does in the kick, my truck HATES being sealed up.
Don't you think 1-note wonder fart boxes in CRX's that only play 70 hz and are only used for competition are just as lame? At least my SPL setups peak between 43 and 44 hz and allow me to play pretty much any music I please.
