Featured The Equinox that Rocks?

Apparently according to everything I am reading, sound deadening has a shelf life. My stuff has been sitting around for over two years. Looks like I will sound deaden the doors another time. On with the install lol.
What's the shelf life? I've got stuff that's been sitting for like 5 years now... I used some about a year ago and it was still good at that point.

I have an entire new box of 80mil MAT66 ProBlack and it seems to be done but I have had the box in a closet for over 2 years. I was able to heat some up in the over and those are the pieces I used on my A-Pillar pods. That is sticking just fine. So I don't know if they are recoverable. I have the box in my shed out back and I know it gets well over 100 degrees in there so I will check later this week.

My reading has said between a few months to a year depending on brand to which they didn't name specifically. Basically, don't get it until you are ready to put it in.

Would you believe it took 3 days to decide to mount the fuse holder there? 350a fuse. I have 300a and a 250a fuse as well. I think the JP77 calls for a 300a fuse.

Does sound deadener go bad??? I was going to deaden my front doors and install my midbass but upon checking my deadener, it seems like it has no tackiness to it at all. I set 6 squares of it out in direct sunlight to warm it up and it still feels untacky. Does it go bad or does the action of rolling it on activate the adhesive??
I used to buy Hushmat which I liked because it was US made and totally odorless but after a couple of years it got super dry and basically is coming apart. Weird because real butyl is not supposed to dry at all unless it's constantly under sunlight for years. They probably add a bunch of fillers to it. Sucks because Hushmat is not a budget brand. I don't have this issue with Damplifier.

Mine has been in the shed since I mentioned it feeling dry. I am going to check today to see if it is usable. I found my 150mil Noico Red so that seems to be fine. That's just adhesive backed foam.

I have to measure my battery box to see how much extra room, if any, I may have. My Equinox takes a BCI Group 47 battery however a BCI group 48 is listed on a few sites as fitting my vehicle as well. I looked it up and the 48 is like 1 inch longer than the 47. That is all. All other dimensions are the same given the same battery manufacturer. I am leaning towards the XS Power Group 47 AGM. or 48. Mostly because they have M6 terminals and I want to run brass top mount terminals with bolts in the top of each terminal for my 0awg cables from the alternator to the battery to the jump start terminal where my orange cable is connected. It will make more sense when I run it all.

I figured out how to be able to use my factory radio and my HiRes audio player in the same system. I just ordered 25 feet of four conductor speaker wire. I am going to pull the speaker out connector on the factory amplifier and cut the front left and right speaker wires. I will use the 4 conductor wire to run the factory amplified signal to DSP in the rear and plug those into the high level inputs. I will run speaker wire back up front to the same cut amplified wires and connect to the wires that go into the doors. Now the factory amplifier will supply my OEM radio signal to the DSP and the JP77 will send power to the door speakers. I hope that makes sense. The FiiO will be connected to the DSP via coaxial cable.

I may just say screw it and drill my holes through the underside of the car to the cargo area in the rain tomorrow. One hole for the 0awg power to enter and one hole for the 0awg ground cable to exit. I am going to ground to the frame.

Going through some folders and found 3 of my old cars.

1967 Fairlane - Engine swapped to a 1993 Mustang GT fuel injected with AOD *****.
1992 Notchback 5.0L 5-speed.
1992 25th Anniversary Heritage Edition Camaro 5-speed. 1 of just over 10,000 in that color combination.
