Featured The Equinox that Rocks?

I did order some risers/standoffs for the amplifier. I went with black nylon but there are some really cool and some exotic options.

My A/C drain has been clogged and dumping water into the floorboards for a while. I put it on my ramps and went for the drain on the lower, center firewall. The tube is curved almost 90° to the passenger side. It's kinda tight under there and the swaybar is kind of in the way. I put some fingers on the tube and it rotated. As soon as the tube curved south it started draining a lot. Completely soaked my shoulder and back and the cardboard I was laying on. If I knew all I had to do was rotate it I would have done that days ago from the top side... with a stick. SMH.

Just replaced a 6" section of sunroof drain hose. It had butyl rubber on it for some reason. I thought it was for some shoddy repair. I examined the section I cut out from the inside but saw no cracks or holes. Hmmm. I drove around with the A/C on for a bit. No more dripping in the floorboards from that at least.

I am so aggravated. I have no clue where all my heat shrink is. Anyway, this is the power supply side of the 1/0awg OFC cable that will run from the circuit breaker to the JP630 Ultra Cap Bank. 300a breaker at the beginning and a 300a fuse just before the cap bank. From the cap bank to the SMD fused distribution block to a 300a fuse to the amp. I was under the Equinox today so I looked for a good place to hang the cable and there are PLENTY of perfect options.

I am still waiting for my GP audio orange heat shrink to get here so I can finish my cables. In the mean time I sold my BNIB D4S JP13 to my sister. She is going to be running it on a pair of 10's that I am sure she will blow quickly like she did my RF Punch 12 some time back.

seems like the punch 12 wasn't loud enough. If you gave her adequate equipment, she wouldn't blow it! 😂

I found out that the puddle of water in my drivers floor board was from the sunroof... sort of. I repaired the drain hoses so I figured shes good to go. Nope. Heavy rain, puddle. So I taped the sunroof with waterproof tape and waited for a storm. No puddle. This means it has to do with the sunroof. I inspected the drivers side hose since the water was on that side and found that in the dash where the tube connects to the firewall the rubber grommet was broken. Water was dripping down the firewall into the floor.

This is not an accessible area to repair without literally removing the dash pad and dash. I had to work through some small holes created by removing the corner of the dash pad and removing the a-pillar cover. I pulled the hose out with the broken piece, brainstormed then came up with my plan. I had some left over hose from the repair on this same tube so I pulled off the grommet and placed a 3" length of hose on the tube. It took 45min to finagle the hose into the hole in the firewall but I got it in. Made some adjustments and secured the new custom drain hose/tube.

Waiting for a storm lol.

Heading home from the DMV after chillin in line for literally 4 hours to finally switch my DL over to NC. Anyway, running up I85 at 85mph zippin the Equinox in and out of traffic and I come to my exit so I exit. My A/C starts blowing warm and a red battery light shows up on the dash. I shut off the A/C and lower the volume on the radio and lower my window. The car is running perfectly. I get home and pop the hood and find the destruction!!! On a side note, the XS Power battery is seriously bad ***.

Got a bunch done but no car audio. Dammit. Got the drivers license switched over, got the car registered and tagged. The personalized tag should be here in 2 weeks. There are no more water leaks into the car and I replaced the a/c blower motor and fan. The old one was not stock and had begun to make crunchy noises. After the new one was installed by me just moments ago the a/c is back to blowing quietly and literally almost twice as hard at full speed. I guess the other one was really close to crapping out.
