Featured The Equinox that Rocks?

I just ordered a FiiO M11S HiRes music player and some digital coaxial cable. Gonna run it straight to the AC-DM608. HiRes, lots of storage for my HiRes music. Such a pain in the but to do a head unit right this moment. Plus, I can take it with me pretty easily. This will cut down on wires I have to run front to back quite a bit. 1 "rca" cable. Speaker wires are pretty much all I will be running.

Silly move?

Now this is an Equinox that rocks.

Oh man, this FiiO M11S is fantastic!!! I dug out my IEM's from storage and plugged them in. I have been demoing some HiRes audio and now I know why people like these DAP's so much. The sound is crazy good and I run out of ears before I run out of volume.

The new subs are on THE way. Not that the RF Punch P3D4 10's are slacking or tired but I wanted brand new again and this time bought together, not 2 years apart.
No hate on your selection but I'm wondering why changing from RF P3-10's to Tropo-10s sub seems a better option?
I'd like to understand

My P3's are on the older side now. They are 500w rms and 1000w peak whereas the Tropo XL's are 1000w rms and 2000 peak. I also wanted to go back to a non metal cone. The P3's being aluminum. I have made the P3's bottom out on the Prime 1200 amp (my fault) and I want to use my JP13... more power and I could overpower the little P3's. I like the looks of the XL's as well. Most of all, just wanted a lil more volume and something new again. :)

I guess its time to buy new but why go with CT instead of RF?

I ragged out an Fi sub and still would advise anyone to purchase one or rebuild what I got over something from CT.

No shade thrown your way but did you actually model it up 1st? Just curious.

RF makes solid products

Price for sure. RF is really proud of their subs. I love them but just wanted to try something new. My first pick was DD's 710D discontinued subs. Beautiful subs. I am not above getting something else if the CT's flunk.

All the videos of CT's subs I have seen are not bad... do they get a bad rap/rep?

"model" no... matched up? Kind of. They seem to take a smaller ported enclosure. I want to see how they do in my current box the RF's are in. I want to feed the JP13 to them and see how they do and it does. Their specs show they handle more than the RF's.

I agree
At this point though the ONLY RF subs I will buy now are the T2 13's. ;)
