The do's and dont''s of my first wall....it seems like something isn't right....

Whats the point in your comment losisatool? When i was posting my progress so far on my false floor amp rack?
Ignore him. You can add him to your ignore list, and then his posts won't show up to you.

The guy is a complete idiot and has trouble with the English language.

I got the main back piece done. It's four layers thick, I had to use OSB, but oh well, it's pretty dam n heavy lol. But it definitely feels solid for sure lol. I also bought a few pool noodles to fill in the bottom where that gap was. I have to run to home depot to get a gallon of wood glue. I used some basic caulk, but I don't like it lol. I'm going to finish sealing it up on the inside before I put the back on, obviously lol. But I will post some pictures here in a little bit for sure!

Wait, what? I hope you don't mean to fill gaps in the shell with pool noodles. Liquid nails or PL adhesive can do small gaps, otherwise wood is best and bondo and/or fiberglass.

Rigid and airtight.

Yeah since i didn't cut off the brackets for the third row seats there was like a 2 inch gap below the bottom so i shoved a couple in there and put liquid nails around them to seal it up....it's a really tight fit.....I'll take pictures to show you exactly what i mean and you can tell me what you think about it......i got some more done on the false floor amp rack.....I've always liked marvel since i was a kid like most lol. So i got some pretty cool fabric and stretched it over the top piece and painted it with modge podge and after it dries it makes the fabric feel like canvas material and makes the colors extremely vibrant. It's looks pretty fcking sweet actually lol. I messed up on the measurements for the windows so i had to make them bigger.....i got the led's mounted and wired up. I still have to hook up my batteries and finish sealing the inside....i filled every seam and little crack i could see. It's way more solid now. And im not done. I still have to put the other two threaded rods in for bracing. It feels like a tank now.

Sealing off front from rear (around edges between box and vehicle) they can help, but I wouldn't trust them inside the box. See if you can't lay out some bondo and/or fiberglass over whatever you patched with those to give it some rigidity. Even liquid nails stays soft for a LONG time if you lay it on thick and I wouldn't rely on it for much more than 1/4 inch gap if that much.

Ok i know it's been a couple days....i got the back piece on and got everything sealed up for the most part....there's still a few spots that i need to fill in because of air leaks, at the moment i have the port at 15 wide x 12 tall x 20 deep....which puts it right around 31hz, and i definitely dont care for 31hz lol....so I'm going to cut it down to 12 inches in depth which puts me at right around 35hz. At the moment they're pretty fuucking loud! Way louder than before and I'm not 100% done sealing it up. I also have to add two more threaded rods for the bracing. If im tuned to 35hz what's the lowest you guys recommend i play down to? Cause i don't want to f uck them up.

I'd start with HPF around 25hz and keep an eye on things. Download some test tones so you can see where the cones start moving too wildly and adjust accordingly.

By still needing to fill leaks, I hope you only mean between front and rear of the vehicle. If you're worried about subs unloading and breaking leaky box is really bad and will prevent them from loading properly.

Correct hispls, i only need to seal it up around the outside. I got the inside sealed up really good....i bought 5 28oz tubes of liquid nails. Which is pretty much a gallon worth. I figured up the math when i was at home depot lol. Ok, yeah I've got got160's test tone zip....its 0-70hz at 0db......should i use 0db to adjust everything?

So I was adjusting my gain with my oscope and as I was unhooking it for the positive wire the wire touched the amp and there was two really loud popping noises and my amp dropped down to 10 volts. So I shut my car off. Then I hooked up my subs and when I did they made a popping noise when the car was off. So then I turned my head unit on and they made a really loud popping noise again. And they sounded fine, so I turned it up a little to maybe 15/35 and they sounded weird. And then they started smoking. So I know I blew atleast one. Most likely all three.....It's just my fuucking luck, I just got my car running perfect. Got my wall pretty much done. And what do you know?.....I fuucking blow my subs. What a wonderful fuucking day it's been so far......I'm so fuccking pissed off right now. Something always has to happen.....
