Lol good idea lbetts....i was thinking along the lines of some spiked faux fur. I'll update here in a few with a few pictures of my progress.
Just a tip. Try and block out a chunk of your day to work on the build but then also leave some time open for normal daily activities. For instance I'm dying to get my build done, but as a father of a 6yo lil girl and a husband I don't have a lot of spare time. So what I do is when I get out of work at 2 I work on my truck from 2:30ish to 4 when kiddo gets off the bus. Then after 4 I spend family time, help kid with home work or watch a movie with her etc...whatyour doing now is trying to do in two days what it takes some guys weeks to do. Just relax, enjoy the process and have fun. The rate your going now your going to burn your self out and hate it. And when your going at this rate your going to just make it ok to get playing and then wish you would've done more. Just have fun with it, enjoy the process and in the end will be very happy. And don't listen to the guy a few posts back. Yes there are certain woods that are better but no point dropping a ton of coin on it when your in the trial and error process. Also know you have three 18s but I'd build the box as big as you can and see where your at. It's better two let two breathe vs suffocating 3. You will be louder with two properly done than 3 shoehorned in there. Also make sure you have enough port are or you will be going back to the drawing board again. I've never built a wall but I would assume you want 14+ inches of port per cube. To figure that out take you port area (port hight times port width) and divide it by your total cubic feet. Also remember that the port in the box plus the subs and bracing will all take up some of that internal volume. So while you may have 20cubes now in the end after everything you may only have 15 or so. Just some stuff to take into consideration.
