The do's and dont''s of my first wall....it seems like something isn't right....

Ok i feel like im actually making good progress so far.....and building over the wheel wells definitely gave me alot more volume and baffle space. The internal dimensions without going over the wheel wells was 35x35x40.....and that gave me 25 cu ft

The shape of the enclosure has alot to do with pressuring the enclosure and the cabin. Odd shaped enclosures always present a problem but i think you will be OK if you have the air space.

don't know who told you to use 2x4s that was a huge waste of time. also Ids make the port on the left side of the box.
someone who's actually listening and fixing it, and we have you dumb fucks butchering it over your "ego"

id trust what @hispls @Jeffdachef and @CSCStang tell you

and some of what @Hertz Mafia says
ego has nothing to do with my suggestions. do i need to start linking the basics? been there done that agist advice it didn't work dropped down in cone area only to be way louder. shoving 2 15s in the truck sub up port back i did way better with a properly designed box and 1 15. i could only get a 144.6 with the 2 15s and did a 147+ with the single 15 on the old audiocontrol(like 145 and some change on the magnum) sub and port up the second time. with a much lower profile box and shaped more ideally.
have te am issue now with my sub. box is too **** big and the transfer function shows it. that why im gonna seal off the trunk when i get a chance..

Looking better, less gap to fill on the sides and a deep flat wall on the driver's side for a proper port.

TAKE YOUR TIME,

I know hours seem like years, but seriously, slow and steady wins the race, If you take your time and do this right it will be loud beyond your expectations, if you rush it it'll **** and you'll be tearing it out a month from now.

Op I thought you had a stack of plywood ? Why 2x4s ? seems like it would be hard to ever get it sealed up ? Maybe your going to fiberglass the inside ? From a carpenters point of view it would have been much faster and easier to build with plywood. But A for effort and enthusiasm. Dont give up, we all gotta do things multiple times to get what we want and you are learning what works and what dont as you go. Looks like adulbrichs enclosure lol

Well i do but i was trying to conserve because my dad wanted a few sheets for a couple projects he wanted to do lol. And hertz mafia posted that picture so i figured i could use one layer on the inside because rhe 2x4's are like double layering it also. And it should be pretty easy to fill the gaps, im also fiberglassing the whole inside

Oh so your lining it with plywood too ? That should work //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsup.gif.3287b36ca96645a13a43aff531f37f02.gif and be easier to get sealed up too.

Yes I'm going to put one layer of plywood on the inside and fiberglass the whole inside and put some mat in the corners. I should be good after that. I also took and put a couple layers of roofing tape on my wheel wells. Ha cause I'm ballin on a budget and I can't afford any sound deadening lol. That shi t is expensive and I don't have the extra cash at the moment.

If not enough space then invert mount the subs //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Not super related... but the AC isnt 2db above Termlab. Its quite a bit more. When i tested them back to back it was more like 5db+. A long standing shop in my town still has their AC from their db drag days.

Ur going to need something other then roof tape for deadener. Three 18s will rip your roof and also sound like crap if you don't deadener the vehicle FYI.

Would gain another .75 ft3. Make sure you get you're internal measurements right. I've seen a lot of guys pull inaccurate measurements and not account for all displacements and end up with much less internal volume and way off tuning frequency. Then they can't seem to figure out why they are disappointed in the output.
