The do's and dont''s of my first wall....it seems like something isn't right....

But now i dont have a way to mount all three.....this is fuc king bullshi t......every suggestion keeps failing.....ive wasted so much wood.....im about to say f uck it

Keep building as tall as u can go. Build it inside the truck. It's looking good. Don't give up man... see in this picture the walls are slanted. U should be able to fit three 18s if u build taller in Fremont and shorter in the back...

Google sketchup.... draw different designs in 3d to scale before you build. So you can try multiple ways before cutting any wood. You can also figure all the volume and ports...

Your box doesn't have to be a straight rectangle... you can put angles in it.

Looks like there is still a lot of unused room. What about over the wheel wells and the window cavities?

i tried to tell you a long time ago.. not nearly enough air space for 3 18s. if you could do three on top or on bottom with port on top it would slam and meter fairly well.

don't give up. the guys here are knowledgeable but from experience i can tell you its going to be more more trouble than its worth. even 6 12s would be more ideal in your setup. cone area isn't everything. i had a friend with six Elemenetal designs E series 12s and 2400 watts doing mid 150s all day.

with that power and box size Id say 6 12s like the american bass XFLs you could do mid 150s all day.

I would but i don't like 12's.....i only run 15's and 18's
forget everything you learned. take it from me. its all about the design of the woofer. i can build you a 8 that sounds like a 15 and a 18 that sounds like an 8. lol

go ahead and finish it off if your aren't happy ill hook you up some some box plans..

Sorry op

You may need to start that one over too

You need AS BIG as you can go

With the 2x4's you probably lost 6cf just in wall thickness

You need to build right to the sides over the wheel wells and cover them

It will also add baffle space to fit the 3 18's

Ok i feel like im actually making good progress so far.....and building over the wheel wells definitely gave me alot more volume and baffle space. The internal dimensions without going over the wheel wells was 35x35x40.....and that gave me 25 cu ft
