Thanks alot Obama voters...

As far as I'm concerned owning an automatic rifle is slightly questionable for say. Just the gerneral population these days has no real self control nor do they have any logic/reasoning. A person could own one just for bragging rights or for a little fun at the shooting range, but if something were to happen that drove the person past there limits I would not doubt for a second that use of the weapon in a disorderly fashion could possibly occur. I really do not see how it's any different owning a 6 shot magnum pistol compared to a 45+ magazine automatic rifle. They both kill the same do they not? One may be quicker than the other and have more range than the other but there exactly the same, gun poweder in a shell with a primer and a metalic round bullet at the end.
This is just my view on the topic and what I have observed over the past few years.
once again... if someone were to be driven to their "limits", if they have any basic knowledge of guns, chemistry, and/or physics, they could make weapons far more deadly than a gun hence WMD's.... please try and find a different arguement than one that has been previously stated

there is no difference between a pistol or assault rifle except for magazine capacity and size...
And to think you were doing so well until this statement.

Rate of firing, range, accuracy and practicality all prove your statement incorrect.

Thats like saying there is not difference between a semi and a go cart except mileage and weight.

I agree, you can pretty much find anything on the internet. I know someone that has this "cookbook" that basically goes into detial on how to make certain deadly substances (like napalm) with regular household items. If something were to happen with that it would definately be nearly impossible to control it considering it is an every day use item.

Which one is that, the Anarchist's Cookbook? And homemade napalm is really easy, you can make it with gasoline and Styrofoam.

I do believe that is the name.
Fun book, would probably never do anything in it because actually doing them is a terrible idea, but interesting read non the less. There's even better ones out there like the Ragnar Benson collection which include titles like

Mantrapping

David's Tool Kit: A Citizen's Guide to Taking Out Big Brother's Heavy Weapons

Long Term Survival in the Coming Dark Age - Preparing to Live after Society Crumbles

Modern Weapons Caching: A Down-To-Earth Approach To Beating The Government Gun Grab

New And Improved C-4: Better-Than-Ever Recipes For Half The Money And Double the Fun.

I had that in high school. There is quite a bit of misinformation in there so take it with a grain of salt.
Yeah, I read it and decided it was a little questionable, but it was still fun.

They wont take your guns they just wont allow you to purchase them anymore. I dont think these bills will be passed until atleast next year because right now the Pres. is focused on bigger issues such as stimulus and health care and the the unempoyment rates. Although he still has to satisfy his liberal fan base so eventually it will become a issue. Even though i love guns I do not think that its that big of a deal if the administration do decide to put thin into effect. States like California, New York and Virgina or (Maryland I forget) already have bans and restrictions on what type of firearms a individual can own, even cities Chicago and D.C I know for certain but there are more have banned people from owning assualt weapons. If more people were to join the NRA instead of flaming the PRES and the administration veiws on guns they would think twice before passing such a bill.
