For everyone one good reason you can give for why you should be able to purchase and own an assault rifle, I can give you about five reasons why you shouldn't.

Well first and far most, it is in the 2nd amendment, the right to bare arms. You can't argue with that. Try reading it some time. It does not say the right to bare rifles and pistols. Its says arms. is if I want an AR15 it is my right to own it.

I don't think it was posted so i will post it.. The right to bear arms is as much a defense against the government as it is your surroundings.. You she be able to have comparable weapons available legally to you.. Arms.. not bombs etc etc.. the constitution does not state.. right to bear arms of whatever the government decides upon..

Point blank, there is no need for any civilian to own an automatic weapon. Semi-auto sure. Most hunters use semi-auto unless you're hunting black powder, lol.

US has the crime rate almost 14 times more of that in Central and Western Europe. Why is that? You have guns in US, Central Europe they dont have guns.

Look at the size of the US compared to Europe. Comparing apples to oranges

How about we compare Texas to Europe. I bet crime would be less.

Funny how the cities that have banned guns have the most crime. Like Chicago and DC.

What most people do not realize is the civialian AR is the same as your hunting rifle or pistol. The only difference is the size of the clip. And with the old "assault weapons ban" it would make my 12 round clip in my pistol illegal.

So today its the assault weapon replica ban, tomorrow its your hunting rifles and pistols. They are semi automatics after all.

Think about this, we would not be the USA today if we were not an armed colony.

as amuricans its our right to bear arms, if i want a machine gun turret mounted on the roof of my house then god****it i should be able to have one, the founding fathers would've wanted it that way. how else am i supposed to defend myself against others? i want a .50 caliber sniper rifle..... why? because i want to shoot targets with it! duh! its still hard to believe i can't legally own a rocket launcher, i promise i would use it for good!

besides, i'm a perfectly sane individual. why shouldn't i be able own things that were solely designed for killing other people? its not like i will ever loose my temper or get drunk and use them to hurt someone. and its not like anyone would ever break into my house and steal all my killing devices and use them for killing others.

if are asking what is the point in having an "assault rifle" (anything now-a-days is a replica) you should understand it is the same reason you want your stereo loud.. i love goin out with my guns including AR's and AK's and just unloading a 30 round magazine on large fruit, canned fruit juice (good reactive targets), and other various materials.. its all in fun just like car stereo but actually has a purpose.. that in which you actually need that firearm you are well prepared and equipped to use it accordingly...
