I can't think of a single amp that doesn't lose efficiency the lower it's wired

Isn't it about 10-15% efficiency loss for each halving of the impedance?
Those numbers may be way different with the D class amplifiers now...

Every amp I have seen that puts out big numbers at .5 have 50-60% efficiency. They put out the big numbers but pull a crap ton of amps to do it. That’s why everyone says to make sure you have the electrical to do so.

Don't do it cousin... I had one and I hooked it up with three 15-in American bass XFL and wired it down to .67 ohm and a blew the amp. Get yourself a smart 5K or a bass 8K... I got my 3. 15 xfls at .67ohm and so far my bass 8K is pushing them hard and I have no problems

You're correct.. my setup in my Escalade is a 390 amp alternator, 1/0 gauge wires, 3 XS power 3400, 2ds18 4,000.4 for my horns and my mids, a Orion 1000.4 for my 12s mid bass, and my Taramp bass 8K running at 67 ohm with my 3 American bass XFL 1544s. I'm at 15 volts but about half a song into doing demos my votls goes down to 12.6.. I have to keep the truck about 2000 RPM just to keep it above 14.

Any amp dyno I have ever seen shows efficiency drop substantially as ohm load drops.

This is accurate.
