taramps HD2500

I can't remember MAP on the DSP2500 because we do not stock it. It's too close in power to the 3000 so we stock that instead.

DSP1600- $365

DSP3000- $526

Someone was ridding stock is all it is.
We are one of 3 distributors for Taramp's and the HD series from 4000 on down is slowly being phased out with the DSP line which is tons better.

The DSP2500 is already available.

DSP advantage-

Wider operable power supply

Much flatter FR

higher signal amplitude for subwoofers

onboard voltmeter

thermal monitor indicators

Internal DSP

high SNR ADC

LOW THD compares to all HD amplifiers

Temperature controlled fans. Fans also shut off completely when temperature is adequate.

Adjustable Digital Phase Control

Adjustable centering bass boost FR with amplitude adjustment= DIGITAL

ANTI-Clipping module selection

All controls adjusted with visual indication.

Even Smaller, even lighter.

Newer modern heatsink for better cooling.

Any questions, just ask.
Are they coming out with anything bigger than the 3000 for the DSP line ?

There is suppose to be a DSP-4000 and that's where it ends.

Unfortunately, i know many of you including us do not like that but it is what it is.

Here is some good news to go off of-

Taramp's is currently R&D-ing their first bass-only amplifier line.

We are also in talks with 2 other brazilian companies right now about testing their equipment.

We have a new Taramp's amplifier being shipped to us for abusive testing. The HD8000Compact which can run up to 15v without error.

We are currently talking with a supplier to import custom lithium bank so we can test the amplifier between 11-12v on AGM and 14.2-15.5v on lithium.

higher signal amplitude for subwoofers
what does this mean, as far as i know amplitude is the energy output during one period. does this equate to more power output? technically it would be power but thats not the same as amplitude although they're related so I'm wondering what exactly you mean here, instantaneous power is increased? - i.e. amplitude is increased but power output is the same

The FR of all brazilian amplifiers is not flat compared to korean amplifiers.

So if we took a 1000w korean and 1000w brazilian amplifier, wired them the same, the korean amplifier would have more output power and headroom.

As with brazilian, the FR rolls off in the lower range which also drops headroom as well.

Giving a much flatter FR controlled by the DSP, it prevents headroom loss which means the amplifier will not clip as fast when used for subwoofers.

As far as i know, only Taramp's DSP and Soundigital EVO line are the flattest FR from brazil right now.

Stetsom might have a line like this but i have no data to confirm it.

Many users know of the roll off in the lower range but in doing so loses headroom and output power. This can be somewhat overcome by maintaining high DC voltage but the limitation is still there.

It's not as pronounced with the larger HD models since they are more powerful, of course, but watt for watt, DSP solves the issue.

I can say the bass-only amplifier line has an FR rating down to 8hz but there is no deviation rating for it's FR yet.

I know DSP deviation is -1db and HD models are -3db.
