Alpine CDA 9835

Alpine Type R Comps and 6x9s - Alpine PDX 400.1 amp.

1 - 12 inch Diyma Sub - Alpine PDX 600.1 (Gain is set at normal).

System shuts off at 16 volume or higher (depending on the song). Usually songs with more hard hitting bass shuts off right at 16.

Im assuming that my battery/alternator can not handle the voltage/amps output? Going to do the 3 big upgrade tomorrow and see what happens.

Am I right or is something else causing this? Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Well, my gain is on normal but i will set it lower and see what happens.

My car has gotten more sluggish since installing my system as well and I have notice a decrease in my gas mileage.

If the 3 big upgrade does not help. What else what ya recommend?

That's kind of suprising, what kind of drop in gas mileage? Heck, I still get around 29 mpg with city driving

Sounds like you may have a more serious problem with the car. 1000w is a good amount of power, but I doubt it should be raping your car like that. Maybe I'm wrong, though.
