SX making weird noise

no, i dont' currently have the problem, it was a seperated spider, i fixed it

but i dont' think this guys problem deals w/ that anyways, he'd have to be clipping the HAIL out of that amp to get it to sound that bad

We sent the sub back tonight. Im his friend and live close to him. We put the sub in lastnight and wired it up in parallel for 2ohms ( the sub was modded to dual 4) The sub sounded like it was bottoming out but it sounded more like a blowen driver to me that thudding sound when a speaker is blown. Funny thing is it did it only at high volumes. It i dont wanna say loud because it wasnt that loud but it could get upto moderate volumes before it started makeing the weird thuding sound.

the surround of the sub also had a few blemishes (it looked like they tryed to fix the blimish but i could see it). the cone of the sub also looked like it was detaching from the surround of the sub.

Also the packaging on the sx he got was a lot worse then my packaging. I had a piece of wood on top of the sub and some fiber pieces in the bottom he didnt have any of that.

Now I know the re sx is suppost to be a nice sub but I think this one might have just been a lemon. Hopefully when it comes back it will be alot better.
