i have 2 type rs... they are facing oppisite way of pic above, was wondering if i can set up mine like the picture above? reason why i wanna do it is because my sealed enclosure is pretty small and also so i can see the wiring easily without taking the subwoofers out... what do you guys think? would facing them like this make it sound worse? i know there would be little difference since theres more space in the subwoofer box, but is it okay to run it like this safely?

I did the same with 2 R's in a small sealed box. It was a bit louder and a sounded a bit less detailed when I did it.. Mechanical noise is likely.....

i just picked up one of those crappy bassworx box.. its pretty small especialy with the type rs non inverted in there... sorry what is Mechanical noise? well i geuss i will find out once i invert em..

wow i learn so much new words from this site, i have no idea what a lead is but i searched it up on google and it looks to be the wire that connects to the sub inside the subwoofer box... in this case while i invert the subs i will not be using leads, its going to hook up directly from amp to subwoofer, i should be able to get more gains as the crappy leads are thin...

so i was reading more about inverting subwoofer and read something about inverting the wires also, like put the negative on the positive instead of neg to neg and pos to pos.. i never knew that was possible... should i have to do this or no? well i dont realy trust it anyways...

going to invert the subs right now and hopefuly i can find the reason why i have power loss, probably some ground or power wires loose... is it me or does power loss always come every once in a while and u have to re tighten everything again.. pain in the ***...

Inverting the subs will not make any difference other than you do not have to take in to account sub diplacement when calculating box volume. As far as the wiring, if both subs are inverted then there is no need to wire any differently than you would if they were normallly mounted inside the box.

it will make no difference in sound?

i just inverted em, but now the **** box tips over cause the subs are so heavy, i bolted it down to the carpet but now its wobbly and i have to becareful while i drive now cause it might tip over...

i realy dont wanna take the heavy *** woofers out just to reface them back to non-inverted... if anything i would probably take them out if i got a new box.. which is what im thinking of doing, i wanna pick up a ported box maybe this one

Bassworx 12" Dual Subwoofer Ported Box (HPR212G) - Future Shop

http://bassworx.com/hpr.html

anyone have any reviews about this box or ever tried them, i heard bassworx are shitty.. i have a sigle ported bassworx box the older model its not to bad i geuss but 1 woofer isny an option right now so i cant use it.. but then again i never had any other boxes than bassworx... or i can build my own box but i never done it befor and im not that good with wood.. or i can get someone to custom make a box for me but thats gonna cost alot of $$$ which i rather not...

hmm i geuss i would have to make a box to get at that tune then... all the tools i need is those adjustable clamp to clamp the peices of wood together right? how hard would this be? my friends dad has a little shop in his house that i can use and im sure his dad can give me a hand..
