let me ask you something else if you dont mind, i am just learning to use WIN ISD, and when you design a ported box how do you figure how much air space the port is goin to take up (mainly a slotted port) do you do you add your cross area of your port to the needed volume of the box.

you need to basically figure out how you are designind the box... what shape the slot port is going to take... it gives you teh length based on teh port area you give it... so basically, the volume of that, plus the MDF

OK so what you are saying is if i had a cross area of 22.00 (*you add that) then lets say the port is 2 X 10 X10 which is 0.04 you add that to?
