sub working.....barely

OK so i got done installing my new kicker CVX 12 (2 ohm) which is rated 750rms. i hooked it up to a new hifonics 1000.1d ( 1ohm 1000, 2 ohm 750 , 4 ohm 500) after installing it it didn't work.

yes i hooked it up right parallel wiring so it should be 1 ohm load now. using 4 gauge wire and 12 gauge on the sub..

could it be the rca cable??? how would i check it if its bad?

i was pissed! so i took it apart and started messing around with it and it started hitting but barely.. just a little movement.. i tried adjusting everything but nothing.. its like i need to turn the gain up but there is no gain knob ha!

idk what it is any help please. i don't want to have to take it to a shop. that charges 85$ an hour for something that maybe i can do.

Did you search your headunit for any subwoofer settings?

did you maybe not have a wire hooked 100%?

most likely, rca's incorrect.... remote not powering right, ground not good, or power wire not connected properly...

to check your rcas... take a test cd, and run it at 40 hz... use a DMM and place the positive lead on the prong, and negative on the sleave. with your DMM, you should get anywhere between 1v-5v, depending on your HU. if you get nothing at all, its the rcas

make sure that when you put the sub in the box, no wires came undone off the sub.
