Sub to hang with type R <120$

What subs will hang with an alpine type R 12 at under 120$ ? ive been eyeballing some RE SR15"s Whats you guys suggestions?

as in get loud as, etc etc. Just in terms of general quality or whatever. i figured there has to be a sub better than the type r for the same price. Mainly SPL

Where you @ in NC? I have a pioneer 3000spl championship series that gets a little louder than the older R that I had on the same power. Not quite as clean sounding to me but def louder. Could've been my amp. Let me know

Anything that you find that will hang with the type R for that price will have to be used. I don't know if you'll find anything much better for the price.
