Sub that would love 4-4500k RMS Daily?

whats your electrical look like as of now?

2 optima g31's(soon to have, got a stock motorcraft atm), few runs of kicker 0/1, big 3, and stock alty( for now).

once i get that finalised, ill probaly start shopping.

u said u have the btl, what numbers are u hitting j/w?

and i was leaning towrds the btl because of the current "boner" rite now. and i know for example that meade is giving this btls about 4500 and he hasent had any problems, that i know of.

another reason i want to get my elect. too full potental 1st, so i dont have to worry bout it down the road. ( im slowly turning my truck into a bass race'r)

ngsm ran a 200a (benched @ 218a) mean green alt, a battery up front and a battery in the back and he was hitting the same numbers on the 4kw as with the 2500.1. he said he didnt gain with the 4kw until he upped it to 3 total batts.

i dont currently have any numbers, but the btl handles 3kw just fine.

Im confused, the title says daily, but everyone is talking about burps.

To the OP, you are planning on running 4-4500 watts 'daily' on a stock alt? Your realize that amplifier can draw over 350 amps, by itself right? Consider that when you are only upgrading the big three and dropping in a couple batts. Even with a serious alt, that's gonna be a heck of a draw on your charging system to deal with on any sort of regular basis.

Lastly, I do not understand the idea of buying a mega huge amp, then trying to find speakers to match it. What was it that told you you require 4000 watts plus for your daily system? I mean, if you were someone who had their heart set on a pair of subs that needed that much power, i could understand going from there. But to buy a 4000 watt amp, then ask a bunch of strangers what can handle it....? Seems like backwards logic to me. Not dumping, just wanting to follow the logic, at its getting more and more common.

With 4kw and one sub, you'd just be adjusting most of that power into the realm of 'headroom' via the gain or volume knob anyway. Thats alot of power, too much power, for any one sub to try and dissipate the heat from on a continuous basis. But not like the charging system would support it anyway.

i wasnt talking burps. ng ran the btl daily off the 4kw. 4.5^3ft @ 33 hz. i run the same box off 3k daily and it works awesome IME.

So he checks his ride with a TL during 'daily' listening sessions? You get 'numbers' from burps do you not? Im missing your point about 'numbers' otherwise.

it was tested using Gucci Mane - Hold that thought. hit a 148.6 with music.

never used it to compete IIRC (deleted the pm's). he told me it was his daily driver box

ill be ordering an 18" ful load btl for my daily beater. and i too have the mojo 4kw to power it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif if the btl can handle it, i might also use the ab500.1 instead //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

its not needed in the right box. ng said the gains arent really worthwhile going from the zx2500 to the 4kw and you wont need much more for daily.

i would agree. the btl does just fine off my kx2500.1. doenst really need a 4kw on it. it can take it but you can accomplish just about all you want with a good 2.5k to 3k watt amp, not to mention with less current draw.
