sub that hits lows as well as type X,but louder

I have a alpine type X 12" in a 2 cubes tuned to 28hz recieving 1000 watts rms. it hits the LOWEST notes amazing. I just want those lowest notes louder overall. my thoughts are:

Anything with high, well controlled xmax in a low tuned box will give the lows you want....

My dd 9515 @ 35hz in 4.5 cubes gets pretty fuckin low

I had a 10" Type X in a 1 cube sealed box, and an 18" Q in 6.67 ported at 34 hz.

I personally did not find the low end of the Q all that great.

The 10" X flexed my roof almost as much as the 18" Q did, I love the X when it comes to the low, but also thought it needed to be louder.

I've actually asked a few people the exact same question - Type X lows but louder.

I've been pointed toward the AP Axis.

Nobody looking for anything even remotely similar to the Type X in any way, shape or form should have the Type R recommended to them.

Unless of course, the only similarity they care for is the brand name.

I can't really input, since this is way beyond my level, but that Type R's packing job, was hilarious for those who saw the thread...

From what I've read though, the Audiopulse Axis (suggested) is a major contender, and should compete with the Type X (a darn nice sub). High end DD's would do. RE XXX's can't keep keep it that clean (in my opinion). The soon-to-be-released Sundown Neo's might be able to... but that's outright speculation.

Sadly, there isn't much that can top a properly tuned Type-X. I've heard some killer X's, but again, way beyond my level.
