Forgive the long explanation.
I have been running my sub (Pioneer TS-WX80) off my JBL GTO755.6 Amplifier (6 ch) along with some rear infiniti full range speakers. It's been working fine for a year at least. I turned my van on one day and the sub stopped working.
I have checked that the leads aren't a problem. I also checked the full range speakers through the sub output on the amp...they get sound.
I tried the sub through the rear speaker output on the amp....stilll no sound!
I figured that the driver in the sub must have gone, so I replaced the speaker w/ a Pioneer TS-SW841D.....but, I still get no sound.
I even tried connecting the speaker cable from the amp's sub out to the terminals on the speaker itself rather than the enclosure's terminals and I still get nothing.
Is it possible that the amp doesn't have enough power to run my sub(500w max)? Could it be a grounding problem? If the full range speakers work on every channel of the amp, then surely it must be the sub at fault right?
