Connecting a capacitor

Trying to hook a 1F capacitor to my sons system. They tell me it must be "primed". Anyone know how and what I need to do this?
there is usually a little light bulb that comes with them.. make sure you have it hooked up to ground then take ur power wire and use the light bulb as a shunt to the + on the cap the bulb should be really bright at first and get dimmer as the cap charges...

it should have come with a little wire with a little connector in the middle of it it looks like a really thin peice of metal with a bump in the middle of it well you take that connect the power wire to it then connect it to the power side(ground should already be connected by the way) and when it gets to about 12 or 13v whatever they suggest it be charged to you take it off and hook the power up and your set to go worked perfect with mine

hey, i actually noticed a big difference in my dimming prob when i used mine... the lights would be normal and then ooh really dim and back and forth. ended up getting flashed by brights every time i passed a car at night lol, so it helps but only for half a second every time a note hits so it just made dimming worse
