sub sizes

i read on icix a while ago corresponding sub sizes . it went something like this.

2 8's= 1 10

2 10's= 1 12

2 12's= 1 15

2 15's= 1 18

something like that. i they took into account that the subs were in their reccomended box sizes and had the same power ( 2 8's w/150 watts a piece and 1 10 with 300 wats on it) . does this make sense to anybody?

no, because 2 sony xplod 12's would not be equal to 1 fully loaded BTL. just common sense

What is your question. If you are asking if the cone area is the same, that is a NO. If you are asking if output would be the same, that is also a No. I guess whatever you are asking the answer is going to be No, but in what way do you think they should correspond with one another?
