Sub rumble when headunit turns on, or switch songs

no, i was thinking the same thing though, just wanted to get some opinions before i ripped the HU out AGAIN. or would it be ground on the amp?

Could also be bad RCA's. I had a problem where I was able to hear the laser of my HU move through my sub. I changed the RCA's and the problem went away.

Does it do it when just idling with the volume all the way down?
Hmm..it seems like it does it all the time when volume is all the way down, but you may be correct, it may just be when idling, never really noticed it any other time that i can think of.

Ground is just factory ground on the harness.

bolted to where my jack is held down, i scrapped the paint off in the area as well. I thought it would be a good ground, have my cap on a seperate bolt in the same area.

ok, i have a little bit more of a description of whats happening.

the sub rumbles ONLY when vehicle is on, when it is off the sub sounds fine. When it is on, the sub rumbles at a very low note even if the volume is at 0. this could be a coincedence but when i switch to the CD player the sub does a loud pop, one note and my amp shuts down due to high voltage, thats the error i get on it. The groudn for the amp is fine i would think, im using the same type of ground (different spot but its just on the other side of the one i am using for amp) and the cap works fine. soo, any ideas?
