Sub replacement for expedition?

My mom has a 98' Expedition with the stock sub that came with the mach audio system. The surround actually tore on the sub... so i need to replace it? Does anyone know a sub that would work well for this? i dunno the coil setup, mount depth, etc... i think its 100 Rms from the amp. Please help on this one

i think its a 6" sub.

I think RF makes them, not shure about any other companies

than get a RE 8, obviously.

It's an 8". You have 5 - 6"s, so a RE8 would fit depth wise. Problem is you have to take out the whole box. The sub is bolted down. I should take pics. Anyways, that involves removing the panels. I did it without too much trouble.

For the record, I tore up the stock hu trying to get it out. **** prongs didn't work. I spent an hour removing one door panel... Stupid instructions didn't mention the 3rd hidden screw. I spent an hour trying to just jack out the sub. Good thing a friend walked by and said it looks like it's bolted down. When I got that sob out it was like... F me! SOB is bolted down. Nothin has been easy, but if I had to pay someone to install I would of gotten a lot less system for a lot more money.

i have a kicker comp vr 8'' subwoofer i can sell you dirt cheap //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif works pretty good. it is a dual 2 ohm version, i was running it on a surround sound reciever. i also have a subwoofer box, bondo-ed all up, painted, and clear coated. cost me quite a bit of money. without subwoofer box, 20 + shipping. with subwoofer box, 40 + shipping. if it fits this particular application, i must say this is a nice subwoofer/box. its ported, and it is tuned at 40 hz, 1.01 cu ft of internal volume. it hits a nice round 136 and some change on termlab sensors "outlaw". and it sounds good doing so. but, i'm not pressing it on you, i just wanna give you an option //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
