maybe he wired them down too low.. and if they are brand new the "burning" smell might be the excess glue coming off.. check and see if the amp is on protect.. what did the installer set the gain to?

yea dual 2ohm

then i'd bet you have 1 blown coil on a sub. you're probably wired at 1.34 ohms. because of how it's wired, 1 coil being blown would probably not allow any of the subs to play.

if he wired all 3 in parallel, with dual 2 ohms coils, that amp would have made it for a few seconds. there are only 2 ways to wire them. 1.34 or 3 ohms.

he wired them at 1.5ohm load i think

i dont no if this helps but u no when u tap the subs with ur fingers they will mve in and out well two of them will and 1 want at all really
